Marjorie's baby blessing took place on March 4th. Both sets of Grandparents, Uncle Ben, Uncle Eli, Aunt Katie, and her cousin Gideon came down for the occasion.
Marjorie was given a beautiful blessing.
Mom finally got to meet her namesake.

Dad prides himself on being able to get babies to smile. He often gets his grandkid's first smiles. Luckily I'd already gotten Marjorie's first and quite a few others. Dad sat down with her Sunday afternoon for a few minutes and claimed to get five smiles.
I finally got around to taking pictures of Marjorie in the blessing dress yesterday. I wasn't very good about taking pictures while our company was here. Joseph's sister Amity made this dress before Kilynn was born. She is very talented!

And of course this would have to happen. At least it didn't happen on her blessing day!

At first I was upset that she spit up on the dress, but then I realized that I caught a picture of it which made it all worth it!
Kilynn was dying to wear the "princess dress" too. She wore this dress for her baby blessing as well. It still fits! If Amity would have made it a little longer she might be able to wear it for her baptism dress too since she only grows vertically and not at all from side to side:)

We wish would could have made it for the blessing. Marjorie is getting big and that is the best picture of her spitting up. Sorry but it makes me chuckle. Marjorie is so cute!
That's hilarious about the spit-up:) And what a functional dress - this also opens up possibilities for you. Just buy Marjorie's dresses really long for awhile since she isn't walking anyways, and both girls will benefit!:)
I can't believe Kilynn can still fit in the dress. That is awesome. It looks like you had a great time with family. Sorry we weren't able to make it.
Beautiful baby and dress!
