She's here! 1/21/12

Isn't that a great birthday to have? It can almost be a palendrome if you put the hour she was born at the end and not include the minutes. Then it's 1/21/12/1.

We are pretty sure on what her name will be, but unsure enough that I won't announce it yet. She was born at 1:33 pm weighing 6 lbs 6 oz. and is 19 inches long. She is a sweetheart- so peaceful and calm.

This is what I looked like right before leaving for the hospital at noon. Yes whatever smile you see on my face is probably fake. I went into labor at 10:00 the night before. By 11:00 contractions were consistently seven minutes apart. By midnight Joseph convinced me to stop running around cleaning everything like a mad woman and get some rest. I dozed between contractions and they started to get farther and farther apart throughout the night. In the morning they were as far apart as 30 minutes. They stayed far apart until 11:00 am and then suddenly jumped to 5 or 6 minutes apart. We left for the hospital by 12:00 and after more laboring I pushed three times and she was here at 1:33! Piece of cake. A walk in the park;)

Some things were easier this time and somethings were harder. Harder because I wasn't as well mentally prepared this time. I was assuming I'd go late again, so my mind wasn't as ready to deal with things as well. It was easier because I only had to push three times instead of for almost three hours. All in all it's a relief to have her here! We are all doing great! I feel amazing and she is a champion nurser (yay for that-Kilynn was not) and an all around sweet and calm baby.
