Pictures and Videos

The weather here has been very nice this past week. On Wednesday I packed a picnic lunch, picked Joseph up from work and brought him to a place I found earlier this summer while looking for a good spot to pick blackberries. The place is quite close to where he works so it makes it perfect for a picnic. It is under a bridge by a shallow place in the Willamette River. It will be a great place for Kilynn to wade during future picnics when she's older. The shutters on my camera didn't open all the way for this first picture. That is why it's black around the edges. Kilynn loves water. It was a warm day and the water was actually quite nice since it was shallow.
Kilynn was wanting to get in farther than just dipping her legs in, so I ended up taking off her onsie and letting her go for it.

Kilynn enjoys exploring the yard by herself. She prefers sitting and crawling in the rocks than being on soft grass.
I love this picture.
Kilynn takes any chance she can to explore new spaces in the house. She has a sharp eye for any drawers or cabinet doors that are slightly cracked open enough for her to stick her fingers. As soon as she can open it, she starts unloading everything onto the floor. I need to take a picture of what the kitchen floor looks like after some of her escapades. Sometimes, when I really need her to entertain herself for a while, I place her on the floor and then open all the drawers and cabinets that she can reach. She knows, however, that the fridge is unexplored territory and she is bent on finding any opportunity to get into it. Every time I open the fridge she is right there in a matter of seconds. She cries bitter tears when I pick her up so that I don't shut her head in the door.
Here she is exploring one of our cabinets.
Here are some random videos. They aren't all that exciting, especially since my camera doesn't do sound.

Kilynn is so good at giving kisses. If you mention the word kiss, she'll start kissing everything in sight. She loves kissing her Dad the most- probably because he is the one who constantly asks for them. She kisses her dolls and her blankie all the time too. She kisses by leaning in and touching you with her lips and making an "mmm" sound. When I go in to get her out of her crib after a nap, she usually gives me a kiss as soon as I pick her up. She is so sweet! This video isn't the best example of her kisses-especially since there is no sound, but you get the idea.

Kilynn loves to climb onto things but doesn't know how to gracefully get back down. That means a lot of standing around for me and lifting her down so that she can climb back up onto things like the deck. Please ignore the garbage on the deck.

Wow, she is quite the little explorer! I can't believe she went ALL the way into that cabinet! You probably have to watch her every minute! Cute kisses!

I love the videos, even if there isn't any sound!

She is so cute, and I can't believe how she gets around already! She's ahead of her cousin here!

The videos were fun. The one with her discovering the sun shining in was so cute. You have quite the adorable explorer.
