Two family events with one visit

Last Monday we returned from a trip home. The reason for the trip was to see Joseph's little brother Ben return from his mission to New Mexico. We were also able to be present for little David's baby blessing. We left on Wednesday the 23rd and arrived at the Pasco Washington airport just in time for Ben's plane to come in. Ben looked a little dazed to be surrounded by so many crazy family members (including four he hadn't met yet), but other than that he looked good. It was nice to see him. Everyone went out to eat at a buffet afterward.

Here are some more pictures that I took while hanging out with the Waites. I'm dissapointed that I wasn't able to catch a picture of David in his blessing outfit that Amity made. He is so cute!
My Dad is making a huge china hutch for Penny. They installed the first part of it while we were there.
The "twins" playing Relaxing in the shade at the park after a game of family baseball On Saturday Kilynn and I went up to my parents to spend the day. It was fun to be able to see my sister-in-law Leslie and all her kids who were on a little vacation too. I also got to meet my newest nephew Joshua--my sister Heidi's baby. My parent's pond is stocked full of fish. The kids were having fun catching fish on almost every cast! Aaron and Eli are in the process of building a monkey bridge that goes across the pond. Here it is so far. They only have the outline made so far and have plans of weaving a lot more rope into the existing ropes. Eli, Kilynn and I went on a little excursion up to Willow Creek so that I could finally see his fort that he has been wanting to show me everytime I come up.
Eli's fort is amazing! It's very roomy inside. My nieces and nephews spent all summer in it last year. It was sturdy enough to last through the winter!
We had a wonderful visit with everyone. All of the activities and nights staying up late playing pinochle wore us out though so we were more than happy to let Kilynn have a turn at the wheel on the way home.

Those are really cute pictures of Kilynn. I really like the one of her driving!
